apple music app does not show external cd drive and therefore i'm unable to import music to the apple app on my pc running windows11. It worked with no problems on iTunes but not with Music app. cd drive is recognised by pc and im able to view and play music through it.

As far as I am aware Apple Music does not support CD importing. If you still have iTunes installed (where it will be limited to working with audiobooks and podcasts) that should be able to rip a CD, or you can find free software such as CDex - https://cdex.mu/ - to rip the CD, then put the files that it produces into the Automatically Add to Music folder inside your media folder.
