iOS update prevented notes from synching with iCloud

Hi

I updated iOS to the version just before 18.1, overnight my notes disappeared from my iPhone only two notes in the shared, iCloud, email, notes folders are available. All the rest are unable to download. I upgraded to 18.1, I un synced from iCloud then back again. I switched off the phone back again. I signed out of iCloud and signed in again, this was the first time to see some improvement. Some of the notes came back onto the iPhone and disappeared again within half an hour.

The notes are present on my iPad, on my laptop, in my iCloud.

I have many notes with many attachments, I use notes extensively.

Can someone help me:

a. Re-Synch my iPhone notes with my iCloud?

b. Do you have any advice as to a quick way to back up on my notes as documents on my hard drive so I don’t need to go through one by one they are really very many.

Thank you

iPhone 14 Plus, iOS 18

To the OP and ALL Participants:

This seems to be catching on. So, report the bug to Apple. Question is: "Just how many people have actually reported it?"

Reporting this to Apple:

Do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know about this issue.  Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come. Apple will know nothing of your occurrence, if you did not report it to them.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
  2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
  3. Comment: that this all began after installing an update. Include the URL of this thead.
  4. Proceed from there as necessary
