Apple Watch alarm is not sync with iPhone 12 after updating to iOS 18.1

Synchronize or whatever. It worked before but now it doesn’t work after updating every iOS device. Setting on iPhone should buzz me on watch.

It works for me on watch SE on latest OS and iOS, provided that the iphone is locked.

If iphone is unlocked (in use) then no notifications have ever gone to Watch except for incoming call.

An iphone alarm will sound on the Watch if you set iPhone, Watch app, My Watch tab, Clock, Push alerts from iphone, On.

They do not "synchronise". Alarms set on watch and alarms set on phone are separate, apart from the above sounding on watch.

Thank you LD150 for your insights. This was my issue when troubleshooting the iPhone 16 pro (18.2.1) and Apple Watch 7 (11.2) was not playing any alarm. Once I set an alarm and locked the iPhone the alarm was pushed to the Apple Watch. Problem solved. I believe this type of smart interaction is new. As a parent not sure I like this feature as sometimes my kids are using the phone and I still want the alarms synced on both devices.

this doesn't work - checked my settings and they are exactly as described above but my apple watch alarm no longer goes off after updating iPhone to iOS 18. worked beautifully until the software update. :(

If all of these things are not working, you might want to give this as feedback to apple, so that they can look in to it

My girlfriend has an Apple Watch series 8 and iPhone 15 pro but has the exact same issue. For her it was working even more recently and then one day the watch did an automatic update and now the alarm won't sync. We have tried all troubleshooting steps including turning off clock push notifications, restarting the phone, and then turning it back on. We also unpaired the watch, restored it to factory settings, repaired it, and restored from backup. Still nothing! She's incredibly busy all week but we need to find time to visit an Apple Store because I got used to not hearing her alarm in the morning. Would really love a fix that does not require us to leave home.

Its been like that for some years. Since I got my Watch I set all my alarms on the watch as I am either wearing it or it's on my night stand.
