Mac Mini M4: USB-C vs Thunderbolt

I'm going to pull the trigger on the new M4 Mac Mini and need some feedback on ports. I currently have two monitors and will use them on the new setup. Current setup is Thunberbolt to HDMI cable for each. Does it make sense to do the same with new Thunderbolt 4 to HDMI cables? Or one HDMI to HDMI cable and a hub from one Thunderbolt that has an HDMI port and other ports? Can any USB-C hub connect to the Thunderbolt 4 port or do I have to get a Thunderbolt 4 specific hub?
