Perhaps you may (or not) find a suitable stand-alone non-subscription version
of QuickBooks at Resale; since Maker says, they only offer a subscription now.
An employee at Quickbooks suggested looking to Retailer source to see if any
may still have single purchase or stand-alone versions. But looking through a
long Q.B. discussion about this topic online, I see the idea has been worn out.
The product is no longer available as standalone; the regular Q.B version has
changed from 'annual' to 'monthly' user fees. So that's now like a contract.
