Safari rendering PDF files containing layered images incorrectly

We are experiencing problems with some of our product brochures if you download them from our website as PDF's and safari renders the PDF on screen. In Apple Preview or Google Chrome, the pages are fine. If you "open in Preview" from the safari page, it's fine... it's only when you view within Safari. I don't have any special add-ons or extensions. Does anybody know why this would be occurring? the PDF was generated from Adobe Indesign (latest edition).


I'm using Safari Version 17.6 (17618.3.11.11.7, 17618)
