Stop Safari constantly clearing cache

Hey All.

It seems when Developer Tools are switched on in Safari it constantly clears the cache across the board meaning I have to constantly login to various accounts etc, like gmail, Facebook etc etc. It is very annoying, so mush so, I have moved to Chrome! I would prefer to use Safari so is there any way to stop this from happening?

Really hope so as every few hours I have to login to everything again!

Thanks in advance.

Thanks, that's very helpful. What I had in mind was the contents of the Advanced > Developer pane (not the Advanced > Advanced one in the video). Can you post a screenshot of its contents? It may be relevant. If we can't get to the bottom of the problem let me know and I'll post instructions for using EtreCheck.

Don't be alarmed but the site Hosts might want to edit or eliminate that video because it reveals certain information that you may consider personal, which this site's T&Cs recommend against. I won't make that determination myself, after all it's up to you if you want to post that information, but if it disappears don't be concerned... it was sufficient for me to observe what's going on so that I can understand it.

Another uncertainty for me is Google since I don't use their products nor do I have a Google account, nor Hubspot or Facebook for that matter. Obviously I have various other accounts but I can't duplicate the problem with them.

The developer tools shown in Safari's Develop menu is just that — a set of tools for website developers. There is nothing to "switch on" other than that menu. Perhaps you enabled some setting in Developer Tools that clears cache files. If you did that, then reset it to its default setting which doesn't do that. If you don't know how it works then I recommend hiding the Develop menu. Refer to Use the developer tools in the Develop menu in Safari on Mac - Apple Support.

Thanks for the response.

It started to do this after the last OS update. I changed nothing in terms of any setting, but when I have web developer tools on (which I need for web design) it constantly signs me out of any account I am signed into. Google, Hubspot, Facebook etc etc. All accounts get signed out every few hours.

Something has changed when activating this in Safari and not sure why and how to stop it.
