Deleting Bookmark in drop down menu.

On my iPhone and iPad a bookmark appears in the drop down menu from the address bar. It does not appear in the bookmark list in the sidebar or on my laptop. I have cleared the history and website data, turned cookies off with no success. I am becoming very frustrated and would appreciate any suggestions.
