FACETIME MASS SPAM repeatedly in middle of night

I am on some list as of late of being spam /prank called in middle of the night repeatedly on a spam facetime call that is a prank. I have disabled notifications for unknown users, however i see these are persisting. As Apple has become a telecommunications company more or less, they have some onus to remedy this. As Apple repeatedly suggests privacy and security is paramount, this does not absolve them of their responsibility. Seeing as they are the largest company with a huge infrastructure where all users therein need authentication, identification of these originators or accounts should be no problem. Has anyone successfully pursued this with the authorities /Apple? eg identify the culprits for proscecution. block them or throw them off the platform? Thank you
