iMovie optimum file size for streaming from Mac to TV

I'm creating home movies in iMovie from old VHS tapes digitized for me by iMemories. I have ~30 mp4 files with a total size of ~10GB. After editing in iMovie I'll probably reduce it to ~5GB of clips. For presentation I want to stream the movies from my 2024 MacBook Air (Sonoma 14.6) to my LG TV over AirPlay.

My question: For optimum video performance (i.e., no buffering), should I create multiple movies and run them one at a time? For example, five 1GB movies instead one 5GB movie. Any recommendations on the best way to do this? Thanks in advance for your response.

For streaming over AirPlay, it makes no difference.

AirPlay (like most streaming protocols) already chunk the data stream into manageable chunks and send them over just in advance (so it's not like an entire 5GB movie has to be transferred before you can start watching).

The main factor is the network performance between the device sending the video, and the device displaying it. As long as that's good enough, the software will take care of the rest.
