Judging by the number of complaints wrt the power button just suddenly falling out of the remote, this is clearly a design flaw.
as mine is long out of warranty, i simply placed a minute piece of “Press Stick” on the back, used a pair of tweasers, to relocate the button and pressed it in.
Not ideal, but so far so good.
