I keep getting 'NEW DEVICE'

When I'm opening my Mac or Apple device and going from one website to the other I get a notice that it's a new device even though none of them are new and all exist in my list of Apple devices and iMac

Please first try restarting in Safe Mode per the directions in the link and then restart normally and test again. If the problem persists, then please read the following and provide an EtreCheck report of your computer.

This report will help us get a good idea what has been installed on your system and help us be able to diagnose what may be wrong.

 

When you have your report, you can attach it when you reply to this message and we can then review it and help you determine what is needed to get your system running well again.

"New device" when going to a website means, unless I misunderstand what you're referring to, that the site does not have any record if your device connecting to the site. That often occurs when the cookies for a site have been deleted, but it can also happen due to just sloppy coding on the part of the web developer. My bank's website always says that I'm connecting with a "new device" even though it just means that two-factor authentication has been set up. It usually has nothing to do with your Mac, per se.
