Apple Car Play showing wrong location and directions

I have a 2023 Mazda CX 50. Car play navigator was fine until about 2 weeks ago. Both my iPhone and my husbands, when connected to car play spontaneously at some point during the trip will change the cars location and nav goes off the rails on both Google and Apple Maps. When connected to Bluetooth both phones work fine. I have done a factory reset on the car and did not help. Have an open case with Apple currently. The Mazda does not have a chip installed allowing the car to navigate by itself. I have sent Apple a video of the car play “off the rails” while holding another iPhone up to the display on Bluetooth with correct location and directions.

Anyone know of a solution?
