My photo's aren't syncing to my MacBook

After I logged out of my Apple ID to switch to a different one, I then performed some actions on that ID using through laptop (E.G. I deleted the photos on that ID). Once I switched back to my original Apple ID, I noticed that all my photos had disappeared from my MacBook, although they were still available on my iPhone and iPad, which continue to sync with each other. I tried restarting my MacBook and enabling iCloud Photos, but nothing seemed to work. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this issue?
