Can I clear Safari history without logging out?

I'm using Version 17.6 (17618.3.11.11.7, 17618) of Safari.

As an example: When I clear the browser History, it logs me out of Gmail, requiring to log back in.

This issue doesn't happen when clearing the history with Chrome, Firefox, Opera, and Brave.

Is there a way to clear the history in Safari without being logged out of sites that have been logged into.
