iPad Pro 12.9" (2nd Gen) Touch Unresponsive After Restore Post iOS 17.7 Update

Hello everyone,

I’ve run into a serious issue with my iPad Pro 12.9" (2nd generation). After updating to iOS 17.7, the touch screen completely stopped working, which led me to restore the iPad. However, now, after each restore (including recovery mode and DFU mode), the touch works for only about 60 seconds before becoming unresponsive again. It stays this way until I perform another restore through my Mac, but the problem just repeats.

Has anyone else had this issue after updating, or know of a solution? I’ve tried everything I can think of, but nothing seems to work.

Alternatively, you can initiate and manage your support cases from Apple devices using the excellent Apple Support App. If not already installed, the App can be downloaded from the App Store:

You might also visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) where the technicians will be able to test and assess your iPad - and you can explore your available options:
