Queue on Podcast not working

I can’t get anything added to my queue. I have to manually go in and click on a new episode to play when one ends.

When I click on “Add to Queue” I get the message that says to added to queue, but nothing is there.

I’ve tried turning my phone off and back on, and tried deleting the app and adding it again. Still nothing. This has been going on for a couple of weeks. I’m about ready to start using another podcast app.

podcasts plays random shows next Why does the podcast app add random shows to my queue and plays them after I listen to one of my podcasts although I have continuous playback off. This is annoying especially since the shows it chooses are sometimes offensive to me. This was not a problem before I updated to iOS 18.
