When I go to look at my emails, on any of my devices, iMac, iPad, iPhone, I can see there is a number indicating how many new messages there are. Yet when I open the inbox, pfft, they’ve vanished. They also disappear from iCloud! Is this just me or is it happening to others as well. Help would be appreciated and by the way, as I said, it’s not device specific.

I see this with my non iCloud addresses (I don't use iCloud mail) if I have deleted mail from one device, then go to another one and sign in. It may not update content information until I actually open the Mail app and then it sees that certain messages have been read already or are deleted.
