Recovering lost photos from iCloud on a new iPhone

My phone had completely shut off and stopped working so I didn’t have a chance to back up my photos or videos. I just got a new phone today and I am signed in on my iCloud I have my messages and apps but I don’t have any of my photos or videos and I really need them. I was wondering if there is a way I can possibly get them back
