LG TV won’t play Apple content

My LG Tv will not play anything from the Apple app. Either Apple TV+ or my purchased films on Apple!

what’s the point of buying films on Apple when the app isn’t supported properly on UK television sets.

please can you fix this. I have a few hundred films on Apple that I have bought over the years. If Amazon prime matches my Apple purchases then I’ll switch immediately!

the lack of support from Apple over the last 4 years is not good. Especially when the rivals of prime, Netflix and Disney support their customers better!

fix this please.

It’s through the smart app on the LGTV. The Apple TV box works perfectly well on another TV, but we want to use the app within the LG TV. However this just has errors or a forever spinning grey circle fooled by error with internet connection.

but the connection test shows no errors with the internet. Also all other streaming apps work perfectly every time we use them. Just the Apple app that doesn’t work.

Looking through various threads it appears to be a common problem.

AppleTV app is no longer available on LG App Store.

The Apple TV app (Apple TV+, MLS, FNB, in-app third party Channels, Store, Library) or Apple TV+ app (just Apple TV+, MLS, FNB) [app edition depending on exact model] should be available on select reasonably modern (2016 or later) LG TV models in countries as indicated by Apple.

What happens instead when you try using the app? Do you get an error message? What does it say?

Is this through the Apple TV box, or in the smart app on your TV? Does the other work?

Doesn’t work. AppleTV app is no longer available on LG App Store. The app was working on this TV YESTERDAY. Updated LG OS

Try a cold restart of the TV.
Try a TV system software update, if available.
Try deleting and reinstalling the Apple TV app.

Else please contact the Apple Support staff for further assistance.
