Phones sharing contacts between IPhone and Samsung

My wife’s Samsung has started collecting… or my Iphone is sending my contact information to her phone and she doesn’t have ICloud.

we have Roku and some shared account access…but that’s not a basis for our phones to sync contacts in one direction or at all
