How do I get rid of update alert from preferences on macOS Monterey?

OS Monterey, fresh installation.

In dock, System Preferences icon show red dot for available update. I open preferences, and top left an exclamation mark and "Software update available". Top right a bluish link looking text (alas not clickable) saying "Continue..."

But nowhere in preferences can I find the alleged update. And App Store happily informs that "No updates. All your apps are up to date".

Can someone please suggest a way to get rid of that annoying update assertion from preferences? Are there some update somewhere anyway?
