RCS Read Receipts stopped working on my iPhone 13

I updated my iphone 13 to the version with RCS text messaging. I texted a friend who has an Android Samsung phone and it showed as read. After a few days it stopped working and doesn't show as "read"

anymore. It only

shows as delivered even though she has read it. Why isn't this working anymore?

iPhone 11 read receipts showing read even though feature turned off I just recently found out that my iPhone 11 is sending read receipts automatically, even though I haven’t opened the text and the feature is TURNED OFF on my phone settings. This is clearly a glitch from an update that Apple needs to fix, because how can a feature execute if the feature is turned off? Also, heads up that no amount of turning the setting off then on and restarting the iPhone works. I’ve already done it several times and that does not solve the issue and is not valuable troubleshooting advice. The only solution I’ve found is to turn off iMessages completely and just use SMS so that the automatic Read stamp won’t show. Apple, please fix!

14.1 sending read receipts automatically even though toggled off in settings I just updated to iOS 14.1, and my iPhone X is now sending read receipts even though it is toggled off in messages. Help!

Read receipts off but still showing I have iPhone XR iOS 14.4.2 (most recent update) and my Read Receipts has been toggled to the off position for over a year. My husband notified me last week that he is getting read receipts from me. I verified it was toggled off, restarted my phone and it still happened. I tested this out by sending myself a text and it said Message Read at 7:43am. I have toggled on and off and restarted several times and it’s still showing read receipts. I see others have had the same issue but no answers on how to fix this. Please help.
