my iMessage deleted a year worth of conversation with a single person

iMessage deleted a year worth of conversation. the contact had a number of different numbers all under a single contact card, used either their email and phone number. Now i cannot view any texts, pictures or videos shared by that same contact. it has affected all my devices as my icloud is linked to all. tried individually messaging each number/email previously used for imessage for that contact and no luck restoring any of the messages
