I can no longer see documents, downloads, pictures etc in the left sidebar of Finder. I have tried Finder relaunch, rebooting computer, and changing preferences in Finder. Nothing is working. Have updated to latest software. 2017 iMac.

Make sure the Favorites section is expanded by clicking on the ">" next to the Favorites label. The ">" should appear when you hover over the label.
Go to the Finder Menu at the top, click on Settings, then on Sidebar, and make sure the items you want to see are checked in the list there.
I tried this, and they are all checked, still can’t see anything
