Error "Your Purchase Could Not Be Completed" when purchasing using my Apple Gift card

A possible reason for seeing this message is Apple cannot find a functioning payment method to use in making this purchase. Note that even free apps may require the presence of a payment method, although it won't be charged if they are free. "Them" being Apple? Apple won't close an account just for contacting them, unless you are doing something that violates the standard use of the service.

The people on these boards are mostly other customers and won't know why you're getting that message. Click here and ask Apple Support for assistance.
