iCloud not configured for this account

Hello,


my parents have an old TV which does not support Airplay, so I bought a Apple TV 3 for them.


Apple TV is recognized, but when trying to log in on the Icloud it goes wrong.


  • I enter the Apple ID login details
  • I click on send and get the message on my phone that I have to acknowledge the login request
  • I acknowledge and get a code
  • I enter this code on the Apple TV, but then receive the message: Icloud is not configured for this Apple ID account.


I did a full reset of the Apple TV, I set the region notation to the correct regio, but the problem is still there and it's driving me crazy :)


Could someone please help me out on how to resolve this?


p.s. sorry, the message is in Dutch, but I am sure you will recognize the error message :)
