I got a pair of airpod pro 2 a week ago. They seem to not work as well as the first gen. I have tried every community hack to get siri to work with the earbuds. She doesn't answer back. Plus when I get a text message, music will just stop playing and the messages are not read to me. I have both turned on but no luck. Any ideas? Kind of frustrating that gen 2 don't work like gen 1. Thanks

I was having the same problem with Siri only announcing there was a message, not reading it on the AirPod Pro 2. Finally figured out that I had require Face ID turned on for iMessage. Once I removed that, she would read the messages as usual.

I’m having same problem. Thought about returning. They did work on first day. Now it’s not reading back reply. Only on screen. Also I used to say - hey siri what time is it and I would get answer. Now nothing happens. I’m on a 13 pro phone and iOS 18.1
