iPhone 14 Pro + iOS 18.0.1 Home & Lock Screen Draining Battery

I have an iPhone 14 Pro + iOS 18.0.1 and have noticed significantly worse battery life starting with iOS 18.0 (now running 18.0.1). The Home & Lock Screen are consuming significant amounts of Battery (about 36% by 10:30AM). I also notice the Screen is showing active during periods where I know the screen was off (not powered down but off). Hoping Apple is aware and working on a fix or has suggestions on how to get this back to the pre-iOS 18.0 performance.

An update in case Apple support people are monitoring. At 9PM the Battery was at 95% (and I went to bed). This morning at 7AM it was at 61%. The Camera was showing using 28% activity in the Battery settings and the Hone & Lock Screen as using 24%. I want to reiterate this was NEVER a problem before iOS 18 and appears to be an Apple software issue - not 3rd party apps.

Thank you for the info. I do not tend to receive a lot of notifications but in an attempt to de-bug, I have disabled most.

Any time you receive a notification or text the screen comes on briefly, even if the phone is locked. It will also come on for Push email. That’s because these activities are not background, they are foreground. So if you receive a lot of notifications or texts that can add up.
