Hello community. I got my iPhone 16 this week only and I am having weird microphone issues since last 2 days. Like, the micriphone is working fine on phone calls, facetime, camera video recordings but it is not working in whatsapp/instagram voice notes, instagram story recordings, voice memos, siri etc. I tried it all, reset all settings, force restarting iPhone, but the issue is still not solved. What should I do now?

Hi friend, I’m having an issue with the microphone on my iPhone 15 Pro Max, currently running iOS 18.1. During cellular calls, others can’t hear me when I use the loudspeaker. I have to turn the loudspeaker off and on again for it to work, but the problem keeps recurring. Otherwise, everything else is working fine. Can someone help me figure out this issue? Thanks!

My husband and I are having microphone issues with phone calls since the 18.0.1 update. I have followed all advice on how to fix it but nothing works.
I had the same issue, turning off Vocal shortcuts from the accessibility settings fixed it for me. Hope this helps
Update to iOS 18.1 fix the problem
forgot to mention this, after you turn off vocal shortcuts, restart your phone.

i hope this new update of 18.2 won’t be like that cos I’m fed up.
I got a same mic issue on my ipad M4 13in 2TB, that happened after ios 18.2 update.
I’ve tried all solutions but nothing fixed.
