trouble with 23" Cinema Display -2018 Mac Mini

Ghost imaging on a 23" HD Cinema Display connected to late 2018 MacMini. Using DVI-HDMI adapter. Running Sequoia.

This monitor was performing well last week when connected to a 2012 Mini . Now a thin PINK line is present along left side of display. Closing or moving windows on desktop leaves a ghosted image. Is there a better way to connect this display to this Mini? Or must I find a new one?
