How can I add a new payment method without being the family plan organizer?

I’m unable to buy youtube premium, it says the payment method is invalid and needs to be updated. However, the “edit” and “add payment method” is greyed out, and says I need to contact the organizer but she does not have the card anymore, and I’m unable to add my card. Theres no other cards, just the one that is invalid now. I’ve tried to disable payment sharing, but again it says I need the organizer, even though I’m an adult. I’m also not able to purchase youtube premium on the app because it only wants the apple default payment method. What can I do? The organizer is not listening to me.

To add a bit more context to your options listed in another post:

Based on: How to share apps and purchases with your family - Apple Support and How apps, content, and subscriptions from Apple are billed - Apple Support

1. If anybody in the family buys or subscribes to something, Apple first attempts to charge the item to that individual's Apple Account (Apple ID) balance, if any.

2. If a family member does not have enough personal Apple Account balance, any excess will be charged to the Family Organizer's primary payment method (usually a card of some kind). The Organizer's personal balance will not be used for purchases made by other family members. If Apple cannot bill the primary payment method, the Organizer will need to make another payment method the primary method. With Family Sharing the Organizer always has to have at least one functioning payment method.

Also note: "Some purchases, including gifts, can't be billed to Apple ID balance and will be charged to the family organizer's payment method." "Some subscriptions might not be charged to Apple ID balance."

You can leave a group if you are an adult. You cannot edit any payment options or other settings. So your options are to either leave the group which will allow you to have your own payment method, or add balance to your account using gift cards so those are charged instead of the Organizer's card, or to get the Organizer to correct the problem card issue.
