Siri and Eve outdoor camera

For some reason Siri will only turn off my Eve outdoor camera. Any ideas why it ignores my requests to turn the light on? Simultaneously checking Eve’s website.

Siri doesn't work when the camera is open I'm trying to take a photo with the "say cheese" shortcut, but Siri won't activate when the camera app is open. I need to take no-touch photos for accuracy, and the camera app has to be open to use the "level" feature. Thanks!
