EPSON printer communication error

Hello

I have an EPSON ET-2810 printer which has suddenly started to give me Communication Error.

Can anyone kindly advise? My Macbook Air is running SEQUOIA 15.0

The ink and the print heads are clean. What could have happened?

There are many possible causes.

Please start by telling us how it is connected to your MBAir ... via USB cable or via WiFi?

If USB, are you using any kind of USB hub, dock or adapter between the Mac & printer?

I am facing the same problem.

What happened is WE INSTALLED NEW MAC OS 15.

And we now learn that EPSON is not good at updating their drivers for MAC OS.

They claim they will update software but do not say when this will be done.

Next time we buy a printer we need to better think of a printer band maybe ...

Or we wait a few month before updating our MACs.

Since you recently upgraded to Sequoia, check the following:

System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network. Verify that your printer is enabled there. If it is already enabled, toggle it off, then toggle it back on. This will reset the setting.

Also in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network see if there is an item named "rastertoescpII" If it's there, enable it. It's an Epson printer-related component.

Let us know if that gets your printer working again.
