For a few days my WiFi connection keeps dropping out and I have to manually connect through settings. Then it often doesn’t work even though it shows the WiFi symbol as full strong so I end up using my data.
Then this morning this error code came up when trying to access my emails. Only my old AOL account but I do have some important things still on it. Thanks for any ideas.

When you install VPN it configures itself to the specific hardware, OS version and network that the device uses. If any of those change it can break the VPN. So any time you change any of these you may need to delete the VPN app and profile, restart your phone then add them back (if you still want to use VPN) so it can configure itself to the new environment.

Hi all,
I got this error after my provider had updated its mail server. I was able to resolve this error by switching from IMAP (port 143) to IMAPS (port 993) and restarting my Phone.

This worked for me! Before deleting the profile I tried actually connecting my VPN (NordVPN) and it didn’t work. It seems the VPN profile went bad somehow, such that the VPN app itself couldn’t even recover or indicate there was a problem beyond not working. I’d love to know how these two things are connected.

Bonjour, moi exactement le même problème depuis la mise à jour de IOS 18, et déjà IOS 18.1.1 mais ne pas encore corrigé ce bug ...
Il paraît qu'il faut attendre la nouvelle mise à jour 18.1.2 ... prévue la 2ième semaine de décembre ...

Delete the VPN profile in Settings/General/VPN & Device Management/VPN. Don't just turn it off; delete the profile. If that fixes it you can reinstall VPN.
