Hotmail and Outlook access in Mail

Mail access to an Outlook email account seems fixed by using the ‘Exchange’ option. Certainly it does on more recent Macs and IPad/phones. But firstly I believe you need to switch on two stage authentication in your Microsoft/Outlook account (ie have a registered mobile phone which then receives security codes when needed).
