Camera of my iPhone 16 Pro keeps crashing

My camera is crashing by every single use. Update didn't solved the issue, nor the fact, that Apple already changed my iPhone 16 Pro after 4 days, and the new phone has the same issue.

Please advise. This phone definitely not worth $1200 without a working camera.

I like to know how Apple wants to rectify the situation and compensate me, as I was spending already 8 hours in Apple stores, to try to fix there faulty phones. Shameful. I am really disappointed.

i live in Hawaii and I have a problem with my iPhone 16 Pro’s ultrawide and telephoto cameras. Whenever I record 4k 60 FPS videos in strong lighting conditions such as the beach where there’s direct sunlight, the ultrawide and telephoto cameras always freeze, stops, and restarts. My phone (and family’s) iPhones are already updated to iOS 18.1 as of today but problem still exists with the cameras.

I already went to the Apple Store/Genius Bar and they ran diagnostics on my family’s iPhone 16 pro phones and it was determined that this is a software issue rather than a hardware problem.

Please report your concerns to the Apple feedback page so that they are aware of the issue(s) you’re experiencing with your iPhone cameras. Hopefully they will fix this problem in the next software update.

So this makes me feel slightly better that this is also happening to others and not just me and the update to 18.0.1 has not solved the issue, when I called Apple they suggested it was a conflict with a VPN, The VPN I removed was surfshark and a management profile that is compulsory to install for me be able to access my words MS products (email teams etc) whilst I can live without suftshark, I can't live without access to my emails. It frustrates me as Apple said removing them was a fix, I would argue it's not a fix, it's a "get around the issue" but still inconvenience the user. Phone is a iPhone 16 Pro. Please Apple sort this issue quickly!!!

I worked with Apple phone support and we ran a few hardware test and there was no issue there. They had me go to Settings - Camera and turn off "Macro Control" (scroll to very bottom) and then do a hard boot. Volume Up, Down and right button. It is not the ultimate fix for an obvious software issue but it did work for me! I was able to use my camera multiple times with no issues.
