And Apple discussions changes the following subtopic numbering/ lettering (from how it appears in editing mode to how it shows in the published response) and makes it not be as intended, so this is a disclaimer that it’s not my editing error, for the record, even though even if it were, if it has accurate and truthful information about my personal experiences with Apple products related to this post, then it shouldn’t matter if the editing has errors in the lettering/ numbering.
But I know some people will nitpick about that and question whether that makes you intelligent or intelligible or not, when it clearly doesn’t and shouldn’t matter, IF the reader makes even the tiniest bit of effort to use the minimal reading comprehension skills necessary to understand most posts in spite of their grammatical, spelling, or compositional prowess, or the lack thereof.
B. Submissions
- Stay on topic. Apple Support Communities is here to help people use Apple products and technologies more effectively. Unless otherwise noted, do not post Submissions about non-technical topics, including:
- Speculation or rumors about unannounced products.
- Discussion of Apple policies or procedures or Apple’s moderation of the Site.
I now can’t find the discussions terms and conditions that popped up (for me to agree to the new ones) before I could comment, or I’d link to the source so readers can see the source text if desired.
I just had to reply starting with this because a few of these comments UNDERSTANDABLY comment on policies or procedures or moderation of the site, and yet that’s apparently officially against the rules!
And for the record, I’ve been having this issue for a very long time (like 2+ years apparently) before I updated to iOS 17.X.X (have not updated to 18.X.X ) and if it’s connected to whatever’s being backed up into iCloud (or not) then that’s probably the missing link for me, because I don’t pay for extra iCloud storage, and will never, so it’s one more gimmick to try to make us pay for extra services that would basically be included if we were using any other smart phone ( lol) since the phone itself would automatically have way more storage capability.
And YET, by the way, in theory and on purpose with my last iPhone purchase, I have plenty of device storage capability that nothing should rely on my connection to iCloud storage or the lack thereof in order to work properly!
and may I say it is an innate discrimination against neurodivergent people to say that you can’t comment on anything else that may possibly actually be related to the initial post because supposedly it’s not on topic or it may or may not be primarily commenting about the policies or procedures or what not of Apple.
I get so tired of there’s a freedom of speech unless it’s what someone else doesn’t agree with or doesn’t want to hear… Even if it’s a valid and truthful observation or personal experience.
