Putting songs from dads library on sons iPhone

I’m looking for a way to drop songs on to my son’s iPhone so that they are in his music app. These are songs that I own the cds of and have ripped them onto my iTunes library or bought from the Apple Music store. . Don’t know why I can’t put the songs on his phone without having to rebuy them again

Transfer ripped CD music to a different iTunes account I have ripped all my CDs to my own iTunes account (stored on my laptop) and also bought music through the iTunes Store App. My son has just got an iPhone (12 mini) with his own iTunes account. Using Family Sharing we have managed to transfer the iTunes bought music across but can't transfer the CD ripped music. My son doesn't have his own laptop or PC. Downloaded Music Help I have the Apple Music subscription. I've downloaded the music to itunes that I want to be able to access without wifi. I got my kids ipods for Christmas and would like to put these songs onto their ipods, but when I disconnect from the icloud, my downloaded music disappears. Can I copy a few saved music CDs from my husband's iphone to mine? I have saved (correct expression?) some music from physical CDs to my husband's itune account using an external USB DVD/CD writer. I have them synced them to my husband's iphone. I actually like some of this music so can I somehow download/copy a few of them to my iPhone? We share the same macbook air but have different Apple IDs.

As he is a different person, with a different account, he would need to purchase the music. Purchased music is not owned, you have a license to use the file only; unlike physical media, you do not own anything.
