After upgrading to Sequoia (5k iMac, 2019, Intel), "Find My" doesn't provide a location for friends that I am following. It does display my own location correctly.
I see their locations on my iPhone, iPad and M2 machines, so I know the location data is out there. Strangely, the "Devices" and "Items" tabs are working for friends' device locations.
A bug with Intel Macs? Bad preferences? A setting to toggle?

Thanks mrokloricred37, unfortunately that did not resolve my issue. It still takes a few minutes to go through the 'Locating' process and then finally ends with 'No location found'. Their names are there, and they can be clicked on. It just does the 'Locating..' and then 'No location found' process.

Same exact problem here. I've been on with support for more than a week now. We tried everything. Creating new profiles and logging in with AppleID, reinstalled the OS, removed and readded family members. Nothing works. This is a bug and all I keep hearing from Apple is that they haven't heard of any issues with FindMy in Sequoia for Intel Macs. We all beg to differ.
I am experiencing the same issue. I can see my friends on my iPhone and iPad, but not on my newly upgraded to Sequoia iMac. I can see my location on all my devices including my iMac.

Happening here for me, too. Tried all the above, none worked.
Same on my 2019 Intel iMac. Usually clicking on the name will work but the Findmy Widgets don't work at all. I tried everything too. 15.0.1 update didn't help.
I am experiencing the same. Nothing has fixed this. Likely an Apple issue or the fading support for Intel units....
And already heard that 15.1 doesn't fix it either.
Correct on 15.1. FWIW, I'm running a 2019 iMac i9. Doesn't work on my son's 2020 MacBook Air i5 either.
Does not work on today's B release either. (If I type the "B" word, Apple deletes the message and sends me a dirty email. I feel like I'm back in elementary school.)

Find My still not finding people under 15.1 release candidate, which was released today.
Thank you JUMA55 for being our tester. I think the support tech I've been working with, who has been very understanding, is watching this thread in an attempt to help us so this information is useful.
All of a sudden my wife started working. Maybe the others on my list will begin working again? I'll let you know if they do.
Well, not with my sister. I had her delete me and I sent her a new request. Works as it should on my phone, but still DOA on my Mac.
Does anyone expect Apple to fix this? Apparently 15.1 fixed the problems with Intel Macs if a T2 chip is installed, which it's not on mine since it's a 2019 iMac 5K.
Go to iCloud in system settings and click on see all to see "FIND MY" turn it off wait a few seconds and turn back on

Also click on name of person you are trying to locate.
I had the same issue and this seemed to make it run smoother, yet Apple wanted me to reinstall the OS !!!
