Ever since I got ios 18, when I go on a FaceTime call and try to show my camera it doesn’t work and others can’t see and it’s just black and paused but when I go to regular camera my camera works fine it just doesn’t work on FaceTime

I don’t think it’s about permissions. My camera starts, I can initiate the call, but then it freezes. Then the call drops. I need to wait until it becomes black and then in a few seconds it starts again. Although sometimes just a system restart solves it.
I have noticed that if it’s a call with two or more people, it does not happen. It’s just when you are in one-to-one calls. On the other hand, the camera app works just fine.
I haven't gotten the time to upgrade just yet, but could you check FaceTime permissions on the Settings?
Does camera gives permissions to FaceTime, can you remove those permissions and re-add them?
