Since I upgraded my iPhone 14 Pro Max to IOS 18, text replacement does not work. I have checked to see if the abbreviation etc are there, which they are it just does not seem to work. Any ideas? Has anyone else experienced this issue.

I saw a YouTube video that recommended doing a full reset, but I’m reluctant to try something like that. My suspicion is that in doing that I would set everything to factory defaults. I have extensive customization and wonder how much of those would be lost. I would suspect that even my long list of text replacements might be gone. Can anyone tell me how I can find out exactly what happens when I do a so-called full reset?
Me too. After updating to 18.0.1, it only works randomly, very annoying. Along with that Game Mode notification feature m, Apple is going downhill
I’d still like to know details about “full reset,” but am glad to report that my text replacements are all working fine now after I edited and resaved just one. It was a quick fix with no harmful effects! (iPhone 13 Mini)
I used the shortcut and txt gets replaced, but I can’t send the iMessage. I have to go back and delete a few characters. Select all for the replacement txt does not work either.

After some messing around I did a full reset and everything worked perfectly after that.
