New Stickers Disappear Immediately (iOS 18 Messages App)

Same - 14 pro no problem. Upgraded to the iPhone 16 Pro and when I go to create a sticker 
it appears in the stickers and them within 1-2 seconds disappears.

The same thing is happening in my iPhone 16 Pro on the latest iOS 18. None of the stickers saved from my previous iPhone and in my iPad are there, nor can I save new ones.

Same issue. New iPhone 16 with iOS 18. Stickers work fine on iPad with iPad OS 18 but not on the iPhone.

Hehe, reset and lose all my authenticator apps? I’m good. I’ll wait for iOS 18.2 I guess…

My husband and I got the iPhone 16 pro max at the same time. His stickers work, mine do not, even after iOS 18.0.1.

So frustrating.

I can confirm that a complete factory reset will fix the issue. Just be sure to backup your phone so you can restore.

Me too! Just got a new iPhone 16 pro max 18.2 and stickers disappeared- staff didn’t help and iPhone support couldn’t be bothered .. told me I have to deal with it

Seems many of us have the same issue. Only adding that after switching from an iPhone 13 (stickers worked fine) to an iPhone 16, the stickers did not work regardless of the OS. Initially, my 16 was not upgraded to iOS 18. Tried to make & use stickers before and after the software update. No dice. They just appear for about a second then disappear. Hope this gets fixed soon. Maybe when the Apple AI starts rolling out?

This happened on my work unit. Set up a new for me 13 using quick transfer from my 11 while both were on 17.7. Then upgraded the 13 to iOS 18 and same issue with stickers no longer there after the upgrade and trying to add stickers they disappear after one second on the screen. I had hoped 18.0.1 would fix it but it didn’t and hopefully it will get fixed in a future update because the idea of having to erase the whole phone and restore everything to resolve it seems so ridiculous to me.

Same issue here on iPhone 16 Pro. Since I directly transferred my data from my iPhone 12 mini, I can't add stickers from my photos (they just disappear somehow). I updated to iOS 18.1 today, but it still doesn't fix the problem.

Happened to me as well on my 15pro but I didn’t change phones. I went to use a sticker and realised they were all gone and I’m unable to make new ones. They don’t even appear when I attempt to make them

Same !! I keep trying to make a sticker it stays for one second and disappears and will not appear on my keyboard like others . And I have blank emojis spots in my keyboard after using the new Genmoji

FWIW, I caved today and took the nuclear route (method 1) … I erased the phone, set up as new, tested stickers (it worked), erased again, restored from iCloud backup. That fixed the issue.

Honestly, it was nowhere near as painful or time-consuming, as I had feared. Most apps logged me in again without any issues. A few financial apps required a separate login, but nothing traumatic.

Also FWIW, the following did not work: Creating an encrypted backup on my Mac, restoring to factory settings, using the Mac, and backing up from the encrypted back up on the Mac. That process was extremely time consuming. It took way over two hours and failed to fix the issue.

At this point, although I was skeptical and fearful, I recommend method one.

My stickers are back as soon as I did today’s update (not mentioning the keyword that deletes the comment). I created a new one as well and it did not disappeared like before. Nice! Just be patient. A couple more updates will do the trick for you.
