MagSafe charger won’t charge after IOS 18 update

After installing IOS 18 MagSafe charger on my iPhone 12 stopped working. Force restart didn’t help. Looking for thoughts from developers on how to fix it. It seems to be the common problem with recent IOS updates (which I became aware of only now, otherwise I wouldn’t update it)

I have an iPhone 16 pro max on iOS 18.1 and experiencing the same problem. I have the official Apple MagSafe charger plugged into an Apple charging brick. Battery shows the charging symbol but the battery doesn’t charge.
