iPhone 16 Requires Password for Control Center widgets

I just got a brand new Iphone 16 Pro and transferred everything from my previous phone. Anytime I try to access the clock or alarms from the lock screen it asks for my password to unlock my phone. This was not an issue on my previous phone, as I frequently accessed my alarms without unlocking my phone. I have never had to use my password to use things on the control center while the phone is locked. I also do not see any options for control center in passwords, but maybe I am missing something. Any help would be greatly appreciated in fixing this unexpected issue.

Best workaround I've seen so far was in the r/iPhone subreddit, where the suggestion is to customize your lock screen to add the alarm clock as a Widget. Now, I can open the Clock app without needing to unlock the phone and don't have to bother going to Control Center
