HomePods stuck configuring since iOS 18 update

Since I’ve upgraded ALL my devices to xOS18, my HomePods are stuck in configuring. I’ve hard reset them and then set them up again as a stereo pair. They aren’t a stereo pair, are stuck configuring and aren’t coupling to my Apple TV. This is poor and no response. This has been going in since day 1 of OS 18.

4 HomePods stuck in configuring for days I've got a mix of 2 older HomePods and 2 of the new HomePods. After the most recent update, they have been flaky and stuck in configuring. I've factory reset them but when they are added again, it's the same thing. I can still get them to play music but not fully functional. This has been going on for about a week. Saw another thread saying I had to delete everything including the home and start over. This will be a last resort as we've got 4 HomePods, 7 Apple Tv's, plus locks, etc. so this sounds very painful.

HomePods never work Does anyone else find HomePods never stay connected? Works with home app for like one day and then I would have to remove and connect them all over. Just not worth the effort.

HomePod 18.1 update sent HomePod into endless configuring cycle After upgrading two HomePods to 18.1, one of the devices started to configure like its a new device. It will not completely join and instead is stuck in "configuring" only to reset and repeat this process endlessly. I have hard reset the device, removed it from my account, all to no resolve. I have seen this issue time and time again in this board. I will not be changing up my wi-fi settings because it makes no sense that the settings worked on the prior software of 18.1 and now does not. Does anyone have suggestions I have not tried yet, and is anyone just a ready as I am to ditch HomeKit all together? [Edited by Moderator]

I had the exact same issue, and went through so many different combinations to get it working. I finally did, but I can't explain exactly which of them worked. I've detailed a number of things I tried in another post, so maybe it'll be of help.
