Is video really not supported in Apple Podcast on iPhone?

I’m unable to find any way to view the video episodes of podcasts in the Apple podcast on my iPhone.

-These are episodes that I know have video, as the video is available on other platforms.

-Shows are followed.

-Episodes are downloaded.

-Phone and app software updated to latest version.

After 48 minutes on the phone with Apple Support (screen sharing with three different representatives at escalating levels of support), the conclusion was that the Podcast app doesn’t support video. The conclusion, from Apple Phone Support, is that the only way to watch video podcasts on an Apple device is to be a content creator, and even then, one must watch the video podcast on a Mac. That is directly from the third person I was transferred to at Apple support, who consulted with her supervisor.

Really? Apple Podcast do not support playback of video podcasts?! It feels like that just can’t be accurate.
