Lightning AV Connector HDMI issue with iPhone 13 Pro Max

I have a Lightning AV connector with HDMI cable connectors which works fine to look at photos if I use an old Iphone 6Plus or iPad to connect to our Samsung tv but refuses to work with my current phone iPhone 13 Pro Max.

I get 2 error responses. The power error comes up on the phone and the light blue screen mirroring error comes up on the tv. Any ideas why this should happen?
