iphone 16 pre order pick up

i pre-ordered my iphone 16, and as the rush was with preorder I selected it for Saturday sept 21 when I'm actually not even available to pick it up that day. will I actually be able to pick it up on sept 20 or can they hold the phone for me? it already shows processing for me so I'm hoping I can just show up on the release day and get it?

Probably not. Typically they're scheduled pretty tight, and your iPhone may not actually be in the store on the 20th. But contact the Apple Store and ask. Otherwise they will hold it for you. How long can vary, but they should give you at least a week, from what I've seen others say.
