I can open documents in Mac Numbers but cannot click on or edit any cells in my spreadsheets. Please assist. Thank you!

Are your other apps behaving as expected?
If you haven't done so already, try restarting your Mac.

I discovered the issue. I was in print preview mode with the dark blue background screen. Once I clicked on done, I was able to edit the spreadsheet. Thank you!
Ah yes of course. In Print mode it can be easy to fail to notice that Done button way down in the lower right corner.
